Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Royer LLC (“Royer LLC,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information when you use Bams, Craks & Clues, Bam Club and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, account identifier and sign-in status when you create or use an account.
• Membership information: membership status, plan, purchase date and identifiers needed to verify a purchase or refund.
• Game and usage information: wins, streaks, preferences, tutorial status and limited anonymous events such as starting or completing a game, returning on another day or sharing a result. Some game information may be stored only in your browser or device.
• Reminder information: your email address when you voluntarily join the daily reminder list.
• Technical information: information ordinarily processed by our hosting, authentication and security providers, such as device, browser, IP address, request logs and error information.
• Communications: information you choose to provide when requesting support or contacting us.
• Section photographs and private section libraries: when you choose Scan a Section, the selected image is transmitted for one-time recognition. After you confirm the result, we retain the functional tile groups in your private account library—or in local browser storage if you are signed out—so the Service can suggest pivots across your saved sections. We do not add photographs or recognized hands to a shared card database.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe or an applicable app store. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number. We may receive limited transaction information needed to confirm membership, prevent fraud, provide access and process refunds.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the Service, recognize a card section you ask us to process, maintain your private section library, generate practice puzzles and personalized pivot suggestions, authenticate users, verify purchases, provide Bam Club features, send requested reminders, remember preferences, respond to feedback or support requests, understand aggregate engagement and comply with legal obligations.

4. Service providers

We use service providers to host and operate the Service. These currently include OpenAI for optional section-photo recognition, Supabase for passwordless authentication, Stripe for payment processing and our application-hosting providers. A section photograph is sent to OpenAI only when you choose the recognition feature, with provider-side response storage disabled. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and only as needed to provide their services to us.

5. Affiliate links and third-party sites

Future tablescape and product features may include links to third-party retailers. If you follow a link, the retailer may collect information under its own privacy policy. We may receive reporting about clicks or qualifying purchases from an affiliate partner. We will clearly disclose when a link may earn Royer LLC a commission.

6. Cookies and local storage

The Service may use cookies or similar storage needed for sign-in, security, preferences and game progress. You may be able to clear local information through your browser or device settings, although doing so can reset preferences and locally stored statistics.

7. Disclosure of information

We may disclose information to service providers working on our behalf; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect users, Royer LLC or the Service; in connection with a business transaction; or with your direction or consent. We do not sell payment-card information.

8. Retention and security

Section photographs are not intentionally stored in our application database. The temporary preview remains in the active browser session. Player-confirmed tile groups are retained in a signed-in player’s private section library until the player removes them or requests eligible account deletion; signed-out libraries remain in that browser until removed or local storage is cleared. Network and security providers may process transient technical logs. Other information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain transaction and legal records, resolve disputes and protect against fraud. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us through the official support contact published with the Service.

10. Your choices

You may remove individual saved sections in Scan a Section, sign out, clear local game data through your device, unsubscribe from optional marketing communications and request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible account information. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security or transaction purposes.

11. U.S. operation and policy changes

The Service is operated from the United States. We may update this Policy as the Service changes and will post the revised effective date here.
